Why we chose to launch ’12 Days of Caring’

Giving back to the local community is important all year round, but it’s especially important during the festive period. For many people, Christmas is a time filled with joy, happiness and family but for others, it can be a time of real loneliness. Our ’12 Days of Caring’ campaign is all about spreading happiness within the community this December by giving 12 people the chance to win an extra special gift this Christmas.

We chose to launch the 12 Days of Caring campaign to give an extra special gift to those nominated by members of the public as deserving of a hamper. While we are giving away a Christmas gift to 12 lucky winners, the campaign is about much more than just gifts. It’s about community spirit, giving back and spreading Christmas joy and happiness.

Whether someone is nominated by a neighbour, friend or family member we wanted to hear stories about the individuals recognised as a worthy winner of one of our special gifts. For the nomination process we included questions that would highlight the details behind the nominee and showcase the reasons that led to their nomination.

As a company, having the means to organise a campaign such as the ‘12 Days of Caring’ is an amazing opportunity however it would not be possible without the people at the heart of the campaign itself; the community. We’ve needed the help of other local businesses who have put together and donated 12 special Christmas hampers, the media, who have helped us get the word out about the campaign as well as the public, who have been busy nominating members of their community.

Visit our ’12 days of Caring’ webpage to nominate someone think deserves an extra special gift this Christmas. You have until midnight tonight to get your nominations in!
